History
The medical practice that is now Lamas Medical Allergy • Immunology, an Allergy Treatment Center in Miami, Florida, began in the early 1960s with our founder, the late Juan F. Lamas, M.D. More than 25 years later, after completing his medical training in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Juan F. Lamas’ daughter Ana M. Lamas, M.D. joined him in practice. During the mid-1990s, Dr. Ana M. Lamas added Clinical Immunology to the practice. Indeed, Dr. Lamas is one of very few Board Certified Allergists/Immunologists in the Tri-county area who supervises intravenous gammaglobulin in the office setting. Over the ensuing years, father and daughter co-managed the practice and shaped it into its present-day unique blend of old-style humanistic values with modern state-of-the-art medical care, diagnostic techniques and treatments.
